The I Think, I Feel, I Am cards were designed to be open-ended in order to encourage creativity between therapists, teachers, and families. Cognitive Behavioral therapists are using them to help clients recognize critical thoughts and feelings as well as black and white thinking. EMDR therapists report success with clients as they work in the Assessment Phase and during resourcing. I find kids and teens like to see that thoughts they were having are not isolated – others have them too and often the pictures speak louder than the cognitions themselves.

Welcome to the new website! I hope you like the videos. The children were not actual clients due to client/therapist confidentiality. In order to give as true a perspective as possible, the children were asked to think of an event that bothered them prior to coming into our taping. I was unaware of what they had chosen before they came in and they were unaware of what we would be doing. This was as true a representation as I could hope for. Enjoy!
